Venture Lab TIET (Registered as Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park, TIET) was established as a joint venture between the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET) in April 2005, with the vision to support innovation-driven startups and empower early-stage founders to build scalable and sustainable ventures. We are strongly backed by the MeitY Startup hub and Startup India to incubate technology-based start-ups focused on economic and social impacts.

Venture Lab TIET is inviting applications from candidates passionate to work with entrepreneurs and ecosystem partners to promote entrepreneurship in the region.

Job Title: Assistant Manager (Incubation)

Number of open positions: Two (02).

Location: TIET, Patiala, Punjab.

Position Overview:

Industry Type: Startup Incubation.

Department: Project & Program Management.

Employment Type: Full Time, contract to hire.

Role Category: Finance, Management.

Education:

• UG: B.Tech/B.E. in Any Specialization, B.Sc in Any Specialization
• PG: Any Postgraduate/MBA

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Management

• Assist in planning and executing incubation programs under various government schemes(MeitY, DST, SISFS and so on).

   2. Collaborate with the institution

• Collaborate with Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) , Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), Alumni and the placement cell to organize, conduct and participate in various programs like hackathons, seminars, training sessions and so on.

   3. Develop partner network

• Identifying and working on new opportunities to collaborate with other incubators/accelerators/investors/government in India and abroad.

   4. Industry Research

• Carry out industry and business research on a regular basis to ensure the Incubation Center is updated with various developments in the start-up ecosystem.

   5. Manage & contribute to digital presence

• Suggest and develop content for social media posts, newsletters, blogs and so on.

   6. Organize and conduct various online and offline events

• Assist in planning and executing outreach and promotional activities for various programs to attract higher quality start-ups.
• Organize and conduct capacity building programs for incubated startups.

   7. Data collection, analysis and reporting 

• Collect and maintain relevant data on startups, mentors, investors, trainers, collaborators and so on.
• Generate relevant reports periodically and on demand.

   8. Any other work assigned by management from time to time.

Salary: CTC for this role is expected to be in the range of Rs. 4-6 lakhs per annum, and as per incubation ecosystem standards, depending on experience, skills and current CTC.
