Venture Lab Thapar (Registered as Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park, TIET) was established as a joint venture between the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET) in April 2005, with the vision to support innovation-driven startups and empower early-stage founders to build scalable and sustainable ventures. We are strongly backed by the MeitY Startup Hub and Startup India to incubate technology-based start-ups focused on economic and social impacts.

Venture Lab Thapar is inviting applications from candidates passionate to work with entrepreneurs and ecosystem partners to promote entrepreneurship in the region.

Position Overview:

• Job Title: Assistant Manager (Startup Incubation)
• Number of open positions: One (01).
• Location: TIET, Patiala, Punjab.
• Employment Type: Full Time, contract to hire.
• Role Category: Finance, Management.

Educational Qualification:

• PG: Any Postgraduate/MBA
• Entrepreneurial education and/or certification preferred

Experience Required: 

• Minimum 2 years of experience in startup incubator on a junior management level

• Project Management, Project Execution, Communication Skills, Presentation Skills, People Management, Project Coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Management
   1. Assist in planning and executing the Venturelab Thapar incubation and acceleration programs, with support from TIET and various government schemes (MeitY, DST, SISFS and so on). Furthermore, private foundations and funds.
   2. Evaluate early-stage startups for incubation and funding
2. Collaborate within the institution
   1. Collaborate with the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) , Entrepreneurship Development Cell (Thapar Venture Club), Alumni and the placement cell to organize, conduct and participate in various programs like hackathons, seminars, training sessions and so on.
3. Develop partner network
   1. Identifying and working on new opportunities to collaborate with other incubators/ accelerators/ investors/ government in India and abroad.
4.  Industry Research
   1. Carry out industry and business research on a regular basis to ensure the Incubation Center is updated with various developments in the start-up ecosystem.
5. Manage & contribute to digital presence
   1. Suggest and develop content for social media posts, newsletters, blogs and so on.
   2. Maintain the social media channels and the website with latest updates
6.  Organize and conduct various online and offline events
   1. Assist in planning and executing outreach and promotional activities for various programs to attract high quality start-ups.
   2. Organize and conduct capacity-building programs for incubated startups.
7. Quality management via systematic data collection, analysis and reporting 
   1. Collect and maintain relevant data on startups, mentors, investors, trainers, collaborators, and so on.
   2. Generate relevant reports periodically and on demand.
8.  Any other work assigned by management from time to time.

 Salary:

CTC for this role is Rs. 7.80 LPA.
